The weight stuff.....

In my case, its a total lie, that breastfeeding helps you lose weight, if anything I actually gain weight while breastfeeding. And I eat pretty darn good too. But my biggest issue isn't really the weight, I really needed to tone my tummy muscles again (3 c-sections will kill them) so...

I've been doing a semi-quasi Biggest Loser with my September 09 Mommies.

We're down to 4 of us.

I love it. It is amazing how much I am encouraged just by checking in with others online.

Since most of my friends live away, its hard to get involved in an exercise routine here where I am held accountable by a friend. Being held accountable online, well that works out for me.

And I've only got 4-5 lbs to go before I'm at my ideal weight.

Just in time for summer!

It's thursday and.....

What a week its been so far.

Just a few of my favorite things that happened this week!

1) Miss Calleigh has got crawling down. It's bittersweet to see my last baby mobile, but also SO awesome.

2) My Big Girl Caitlyn is reading. She still needs help sometimes but she'd doing great!

3) Isabella has actually slept 2 full nights this week. TWO nights of more than 3 hours of sleep. I'm in some type of heaven.

4) My garden plants are not dead yet. This is huge for me.

5) The weather has been awesome all week. Not looking forward to teh rain, but eh.

6) I've done 6 loads of laundry. ON my way to catching up. Hope to be done by the weekend.

It's official.

My baby is crawling! She's not perfected it yet, but she can get from point a to point b (and c, d, and e). She has a problem with one leg getting in the way.

It's so sad to see my last baby mobile!

Tackle It Tuesday -- Kitties

I coaxed the cat to move the kittens out of the babies playpen (where she gave birth) and into a more secure (and less needed area)

Tackle It Tuesday

This week its just pet stuff.  We got a new pup over the weekend, so we've spent a lot of time cleaning up hte yard.  Making sure that there isn't anything she shouldn't be out there chewing on!

In addition to that, we had kittens born Sunday morning.  So lots of pet stuff to do.

*Pics coming soon*

A Silly Monkey Story

Our oldest daughter was walking by 9 monhts, running at 10. Our middle daughter was running by 9 months. So we've been sort of surprised that Miss Calleigh has had little to no interest in crawling/being mobile.

Which is why when I came into the living room, to find this, I had to laugh out loud. Oh yes. This child. She's stepping up the game and proving to DH & I that she is NO slowpoke.

Not only had she stood herself up at the laundry basket, she was also happily throwing my clean clothes on the floor all around her.

*sorry for the icky pic, it was taken with my cellphone*

The Hammock

This post is for you Stephanie because you asked.

 Another quick pic
note the toys hanging.

My hammock is the Arm's Reach Beautiful Dreamer™ Cocoon. I have the Silky Black color/design. There are other color options.

Calleigh sleeps in the hammock for naps and at night time up until she comes to bed with me. Hey we are a partial co-sleeping family. She usually comes to our bed around 2 a.m.

I love the hammock. Calleigh has serious congestion issues (due to asthma) and the hammock keeps her head elevated (safely) to help relieve that. She sleeps MUCH better elevated than she does flat.

You can recline or incline the back of the sleeper so that baby is comfortable when sleeping and if/when awake more inclined to see the world around them .

The hammock moves along with babies movements to help sooth them back to sleep if they startle awake. It gently swings back and forth OR sort of bounces up and down. It does not move side to side.

It came with soft toys that hang at the top for baby too look at.

I will be super sad when she outgrows the hammock. She enjoys it and has used it far more than our older two did the basinette.

The hammock goes up to 23lbs. It is a cinch to assemble and can easily be transported from room to room.

I ordered ours from Here

Disclosure: I did not get anything for this post. I was not asked by any company to write it or post a review. A reader asked about the hammock from a picture I posted. All thoughts here are my own and I have been giving NOTHING for them.

Tackle it Tuesday

I'm not sure why, but the catch all spot in my bedroom is my papasan chair. It freqently gets laundry (clean), toys, paperwork, and everything else tossed on it. SO this week I cleaned it off.

BEFORE -- You can see it covered with stuff.

And After.  The blue sweater went to teh closet after the picture.  The white blanket stays there in case I curl up in it and get cold and the purple burp cloth was there because I'd just but the baby to sleep. (She's in the hammock next to the chair)

Night Night, sweet girl.

UGH.

We are having to find a new set of medicines for Caity and her kidneys. She takes an antibiotic (ABX) as a prophylactic daily. Well she keeps getting break through UTI's. The most recent being from last week. They did a culture and checked the sensitivities on it. Unfortunately the bacteria was resistant to almost everything. Which leaves very few ABX out there for us to switch too.

I'm waiting on her URO to call us back with a new med. But I'm rather down about the whole situation. Poor girl goes through so much and so far it doesn't' really seem to be working/helping. I just keep fearing that it will come down to her needing a new kidney. Very frightening thought to me.

Weekend fun times.

We had a long day yesterday. Spent the morning with Uncle Jar Jar and Miss Emily. Then we went to Jen C's for Cam's bday party. All three girls throughoughly enjoyed that. I'll post some pics this week. The funniest part was Cayden and Calleigh. They practiced some WWF moves. :)

I'm still catching up with UBP posts. If you haven't already you should check em out.

Welcome to the Party!

Ultimate Blog Party 2010

Hi everyone!  First an intro to my madness chaos life.

I'm Kris!  Recently 28, Married for almost 7 years, and mama to 3 crazy, wonderful, beautiful little girls.

That's me on the left, with the tiny baby!

This is Caitlyn. She's 6 years old. Caitlyn is our kidney child. She has 1 bad kidney, 1 good kidney, Grade 5 VUR and a neurogenic bladder. So we are often taking her to the Children's Hospital for tests, checkups and everything else.  So far she's stable.

This is Isabella. She is 3 years old. The middle Child. The DRAMA QUEEN. Trouble maker extraordinaire. Isabella suffered from a seizure in November and hasn't been the same since.  We are still working out a diagnosis. She has a form of epilepsy as per the EEG, but her Neuro has not made a full diagnosis yet.  Isabella suffers from a form of PTSD due to the seizure. So we always have adventures with her.

And this little munchkin is Calleigh.  She's the baby. And our last.  7 months old currently. She's our doll.  Very easy going. Just trying out mobility.

I am a breastfeeding, baby wearing, semi co-sleeping, kinda mama.

My blog is a pretty average mommy blog. I chronicle milestones, and other details for out of state family and freinds. I discuss vents, participate in blog parties and love meeting new friends.

As far as prizes go -There are a ton of great ones-but  I would like to win  (19)Prize Package of Preschool Toys, (31) $20 amazon gift certificate, (32) $25 Target Gift Card,

If those are taken, I'd also be happy with the following 33, 37, 52, 53, 55, 61, 70, 73, 74, 87, 88, 107, USC3, USC4, USC8, USC15, USC21,USC31, USC32,USC35, USC36, USC37, USC39, USC40.

Beyond those, anything suitable for a infant(7 months), preschooler (3), or school aged Girl(6) would be just fine with us.

What a great night last night!

Miss Isabella actually slept well MOST of the night.  No interupptions. No screaming. No rages. No tantrums. No crawling into my bed at 2 am.

I am quite literally in shock.

Could it be that we are moving past the PTSD sleep issues?

Fate, don't be cruel and make this a late night April Fools Joke.

PSF - Baby's First Easter

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and ???

Nana brought us our easter baskets a few days early since she lives out of town.  Miss Calleigh decided that easter basket made wonderful hats.  She kept putting it on top of her head and giggling.
