Tackle it Tuesday -- A New Ride

Thanks Joovy and Simple Mom for this week's tackle.

I tackled assembling my new stroller! Very easy to assemble took maybe 20 minutes (and that's with toddler help)

I think that the girls kinda liked it!

I hope you never lose your Imagination

OR sense of wonder.

Miss Izzie. Sweet Bella.

Last night, after cleaning the bedroom, and eating dinner. I got the baby to sleep. I was folding laundry, that agonizing chore, and Miss Izzie comes in with a hooded towel (her baby sister's of course) over her head flying around telling me she was a super hero.

Then she got another towel and put it on my head. Told me I was "Mama man" and we ran around playing for a while.

When she went to bed, as I was tucking her in, she whispered "I love you "Mama man"

Little Moments

9 o'clock.

P.M.

Little girls running around.

Chasing daddy.

With Pop-its.

Giggles.

shrieks.

Fun.

It's little moments like these that I adore.

Bedtime around here is normally 8-8:30 for the littles. Last night however, Daddy let them stay up a little bit and instead of watching a movie, or tv, or playing the wii. We went outside. Caity found a couple boxes of the pop its leftover from 4th of July and decided to try to get Daddy, who was collecting the ones that she didn't pop (didn't throw hard enough) and tossing them back. Then Isabella joined in the fun.

By the end of the pop its (6 packages, so roughly 300 snaps) all 4 of us were full of giggles, and smiles, and ready to go to bed.

Yeah its these little moments that make my heart soar.

How did you spend your last night of the weekend!

It's HOT

Our heat index yesterday was 115. 1 1 5.

Craziness.

Thank goodness for the A/C or I'd be dead.

It's hard to get out and do much of anything with heat that bad. So I've been staying in most often.

A few of my favorite things

I love SUMMER!  I love other months too and I hate the heat, but for some reason Summer is just my favorite time of year.

Since summer break started, I've been enjoying tons of things and having fun with a few of my favorite things.

Things such as...

  • Gelato.  YUM.  It's so much better than ordinary ice cream.  If your local you have to try Dolce Gelato in Cornerstone.
  • Smore Tarts.  Picked these up at Sams with G and Oh my gosh  SINFUL. They are mini graham cracker crust tarts filled iwth Chocolate and Marshmellow.   A perfect perfect summer rendition of a campfire favorite
  • Fresh out of the garden tomatoes.  I could seriously eat my weight in them.  Especially the little cherry ones.
  • Homemade canned Dill Pickles.   another little thing I could eat all the time.
  • Books.  I love to read.  I love to read A lot!  In fact I need to get to the library to pick up some more books, but alas I have not made it yet.
  • My babies, of course.

Hearts were healed last night

And a lot of us witnessed a true blessing.

Miss Hannah Grace Johnson arrived at 8:54 p.m. weighing 6lbs 9oz and 19 inches long.

Miss Hannah was born HEALTHY, HAPPY, and FULL TERM!

For those that don't know, or remember. Jessica and Chris, our cousins, lost their precious baby boy, Caleb in 2008. Caleb was born at 17 weeks gestation and was unable to survive. Jessica spent the last 36 weeks on bedrest and with a cerclage. The cerclage was removed July 2nd. And last night Miss Hannah made her appearance.

I don't think I know of a baby more anticipated. And Loved. And blessed.

While no one will forget Caleb, it makes my heart happy to see these two finally get their shot at True Parenthood! From birth on!

Congrats Chris. Congrats Jessica. Congrats Big Brother Andrew (he was adopted last year at 2 years)

Been busy crafting!

I've been working on tons of stuff lately. First off, Miss Calleigh's 1st birthday is coming up (less than 2 months, how did that happen!) and we're probably going to end up with 2 parties for her.

The theme for the party(ies). Why Caterpillars, of course. What else would suit our little Calleigh-pillar?

For those that don't know us well, we have had a theme with our girls and bugs. With our oldest, she used to make the cutest noises when she was a baby, and they reminded DH and I of bugs (Katydid's to be exact), so she donned the nickname Caitybug, which later became associated with Ladybugs [I don't remember who started that]. So when Miss Isabella joined the ranks, we had to have a cute buggy name for her, and Izzie Bee (busy bee) seemed to fit the bill! When we were pregnant with Miss Calleigh, Caity was the one who said that she needed to be Calleigh pillar. Fun story there, For the longest time that's what Caity called caterpillars.

Anyways, back to the crafting.

I made Calleigh's birthday shirt (and a few others that are gifts for her!)

This adorable little snail. A mixture of techniques.

And I also did an initial shirt, but its not dry yet so no pics. I've got three others that I'm in the process of finishing.

Being the 3rd girl, she doesn't really need much for her birthday so I decided to just get crafty for her! She won't care.
