ARGH.

Hypocrisy is the act of persistently pretending to hold beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that one does not actually hold. Hypocrisy is thus a kind of lie. (I copied this definition from wikipedia)

The past few months I've been dealing with lots of hypocrites and it grates my nerves. My mom's always said that I am too blunt and have no tact. I try to work on it. But lately, I just want to scream at a few of these people.

Two major examples recently. I refrain from using these peoples real names and/or where I know them from.

Person A as we'll call her here. Declares "Everyone only deserves one shower. It doesn't matter if the new child is a different gender, if there is loads of years between the children, One shower per mother. ONE. No exceptions."

Now that she's having ANOTHER grandchild -- guess who wants to throw a SECOND shower for her daughter in law?

That my friends is HYPOCRISY.

In other words, Person A should just say Unless you are related to me, you don't get anymore than one shower. I pick and choose who the rules apply to.And that means they only apply to those folks where I get something out of it.

Footnote on this -- I, personally, did not ask for/nor want a second shower when the above was stated to me.

Person B  does not want a division of folks based on fundamentals (status/place in life/type of parenting) etc.  YET has specific places set up for a differentiation of such things.   Oh we can't have a group set up for this -- but its okay for this.

Sorry but if the plan is no division of members -- there should be NO division of members.  As in NONE at all.  No special places. No special threads.  Send them to other areas where such a division exists.

Personally though -- if we're all adults (supposedly) then I don't understand why a group can't be created for individuals of the same like-mindedness to discuss such characteristics together.  Obviously if it doesn't apply to you, you don't agree with it, etc etc. Then SKIP it. Don't read it. Don't join said group.  Not that hard.

And I'll quote the Great Eleanor Roosevelt " No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

There I said it.

Busy Busy Busy

We've been so busy lately.

Had a funeral last week out of town, so I was gone for 2 days. Calleigh has her 6 month checkup this week. She's got a cold or something, very very croupy, congested, and generally not feeling well. So I'm hoping for good news on that.

I'm trying to do better with the blogging, but some days I barely have time to eat, so it becomes a last on the priority list.

Quick updates on the girls.

Caitlyn -- Doing Wonderful in school. Seriously, she's just so SMART! She's getting to be such a big girl. We're working on tying shoes -- she's pretty much got the hang of it, but slips up some.

Isabella -- Doing better. She's still got some PTSD stuff going on from the seizure -- but we take it day by day and she's slowly creeping back to normal. Well normal for her. Still waiting on further testing stuff but for now the diagnosis seems to be epilepsy that is idiopathic in nature.

Calleigh -- So big! She's getting really LONG! She's in 3/6 month clothing now. She scoots along the floor, but isn't crawling yet. She loves to stand in the jumper and roll on the floor. She grabs at toys and plays well. She is teething. She loves cuddles. We've slowly started solids as she's shown major interest. She love love loves baked potato.

Remember to check out my 365 blog -- daily pics of our life! (I post them at least weekly, even though I take the pics daily)

Feels like

October tonight.

Mostly because the baby is in halloween jammies.

We are expecting more snow. Hard to believe we are actually getting snow!
