What it means to be a mother.

To me.

Defining motherhood is hard. everyone is different.

Mother hood is rocking your baby to sleep after nursing.

Motherhood is... calming your child's fears in rough times.

Motherhood is ... Nourishing your child. Both physically and spiritually.

Motherhood is... Making sure baby feels safe, protected, and loved.

Motherhood is... Catching shots of your child(ren) in embarrisng situations to share with others when they are older.

Motherhood is........ the reward of seeing your children become best friends.

Motherhood is realizing that sometimes the not-so-perfect pictures are the most treasured. They have a better story.

Motherhood is the JOY of children in the simple things.

Motherhood is boobies, and ouchies, and kisses, and "Nurse-maid"ing and everything in between.

Motherhood is seeing your baby for the first time.....

Motherhood is watching your belly grow -- and filling with more love as it expands.

Motherhood is knowing when to let go. And let your child show off thier newfound freedoms (and abilities)

Motherhood is all these things and MORE.  Motherhood is CRAZY and I wouldn't have it any other way

  1. Such a sweet post!

I especially liked this phrase: "Motherhood is realizing that sometimes the not-so-perfect pictures are the most treasured. They have a better story." I so agree with that. Many of my favorite photos of the girls are when they're not even looking at the camera.
